With over 53000 members, LLAS is the biggest and most established scheme of its kind operating throughout London and in many parts of the UK.
LLAS provides a one-day basic training course, covering all aspects of tenancy and property management. LLAS also offers additional training opportunities specialising in particualr areas of interest. Landlords and Agents receive a Landlord Guide via email following their training.
Landlords and agents must comply with LLAS/ATLAS code of conduct. Where a landlord or agent is in breach of the code of conduct, LLAS will ask to see and monitor an improvement plan otherwise accreditation will be withdrawn.
Landlords and agents must be fit and proper persons, which means they should not have committed any offences or had action taken against them by a local authority. Accreditation can be withdrawn if landlords or agents are found not to fulfil the fit and proper person requirement.
